Macy’s Big Give Back Campaign – July 2019
If you could round up a purchase to support Bunker Labs’ programming, would you? We hope your answer is yes, because Macy’s is making it possible July 1st through July 18th.
For the second year in a row, Bunker Labs and Macy’s are teaming up for the Macy’s Salutes Those Who Serve campaign. The campaign asks shoppers to round up their in-store purchase amount to donate up to $0.99 to benefit two veteran service organizations, Blue Star Families and Bunker Labs.
While the donation is small for individual shoppers, the impact is big for Bunker Labs. Last year, the campaign raised just over $2 million for three organizations, of which $679,607 went to Bunker Labs. Needless to say, that funding goes a long way in helping us host local networking events for veteran entrepreneurs, provide entrepreneurial education and resources, and launch new chapters to serve more veterans nationwide.
The video above highlights three Bunker Labs program participants:
LeAnn Darland, U.S. Navy veteran and co-founder of Talea Beer in New York City
Joseph Zoleta, U.S. Marine Corp veteran and founder of Black 6 Coffee Trading Co in New York City
Al Mazzone, U.S. Army veteran and chairman of Horn & Hardart Coffee in Philadelphia and New York City
